Lamn/n Zhou's Hand-Pulled Noodles

Beef Tendon Noodle Soup

Duck Noodle Soup with... not sure what that is. Tasted like octopus, but sort of also like heart?

Hand Made Noodles

There's nothing quite like a steamy bowl of noodle soup with your choice of meat and fixings on a frigid New York afternoon. After some target practice at the West Side Rifle & Pistol Range, we (B, S^2) decided to hit up Lam/n Zhou Hand Pulled Noodles & Dumplings in East Chinatown.

For four people, we each ordered a bowl of noodle soup (beef brisket, beef tendon, duck, and dumpling), and shared a plate of 12 boiled dumplings and 24 fried dumplings. The total came out to a mere $28! My noodle bowl was a mere $4.50 and a plate of 12 dumplings cost only $3. That made me happy and suspicious at the same time. How does this place stay in business?? Could the ingredients really be that cheap? Who's shouldering the hidden costs to our happy meal?

Despite my troubling after thoughts, I still enjoyed my bowl of beef tendon soup at the time. The noodles were by far the best part about the bowl. It had a chewy bite that you only get from freshly made hand-pulled dough.
